OCEAN TOWNSHIP - Assemblyman Eric Houghtaling (D-Neptune) was honored Thursday evening as "Green Industry Advocate of the Year" for his efforts as Chair of the Assembly Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee and his dedication to protecting open spaces, promoting native plants, and protecting local pollinators.

"I'm honored to receive this award, and privileged every day to work alongside such outstanding friends in New Jersey's green industries," said Houghtaling. "Our state's horticulturists work hard to provide for their families and support our green industries, which is why I am proud to value their input and experiences as Chair of the Assembly Agriculture Committee. I am grateful to the NJNLA for their efforts to empower experts and advocate for Garden State businesses, and I look forward to continuing to work alongside them to address New Jersey’s most pressing horticultural and agricultural issues.”
