After the success of their first Senior Summer Health Q&A on Alzheimer's Disease, Assembly Members Eric Houghtaling and Joann Downey have decided to once again partner with the Alzheimer's Association to bring vital information to residents.
On Thursday, Aug. 30, the Assembly Members will host a Senior Health Q&A centered on legal and financial planning for Alzheimer's Disease from 10 a.m. to noon. The event will be held at the Ocean Township Library, located at 701 Deal Road.
“Our first Senior Health Q&A proved to be extremely valuable to our residents, providing them with vital information to help them care for loved ones and remain aware of early signs of dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease,” said Assemblyman Eric Houghtaling.
“We are grateful to partner with the Alzheimer’s Association once again to provide our constituents with this important information,” said Assemblywoman Joann Downey. “It is imperative that our residents have the knowledge and resources they need to care for a loved one with Alzheimer’s Disease. We feel fortunate to have the opportunity to provide them with that information.”
If you or a family member are interested in attending, please RSVP by August 24 at 732-531-5092. For additional information, please feel free to call our office at 732-695-3371.
The Senior Health Q&A is the most recent event in the Assembly Members’ Senior Summer Series. Previously, the Assembly Members hosted a discussion on diabetes with local Pharmacist Ritesh Shah; a roundtable focused on memory loss, dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease with the Alzheimer’s Association; a Veterans Claims Clinic that assisted over 80 local veterans. The Assembly Members will also free eye screenings with the Department of Human Services on Tuesday, Aug. 21.
